  2. Lions • Lions live in Africa and Asia • Adaptation 1: Lions are the only big cats that live in groups to protect each other. • Adaptation 2: Lions have very strong back legs to pounce on their prey.

  3. Geckos • Geckos live every where except Antarctica. • Adaptation 1: Geckos can break off their tails to scare off predators. • Adaptation 2: Geckos clean their eyes with their tongues to help them see predators.

  4. Orcas • Orcas usually live in polar areas. • Adaptation 1: Orcas hunt in groups called pods so its easier to hunt • Adaptation 2: Orcas have lots of meat inside them. called blubber to keep them warm in the cold oceans.

  5. Seahorses • Seahorses live in warm waters. • Adaptation 1: Seahorses swim together by linking tails to protect each other. • Adaptation 2: Seahorses eat 3,000 tiny shrimp a day so it won’t get too hungry during its long swims.
