  4. Introducing [FI Name]’s Merchant Services • What does this mean for [FI Name]? • Increase customer loyalty: Providing Merchant Services as part of our offering will provide another access channel, which will help expand the depth of our existing relationship. • Meet market demands: Business demands a Merchant Services solution. In order for a business to keep its customers happy and continue to stay competitive, the business needs to be able to accept cards as a payment form. If we do not provide an answer to this demand, someone else will. • Stay competitive: This program will allow us to remain competitive in the market. Almost every financial institution has a solution for Merchant Services, in one form or another. When we offer this solution to the businesses we serve, we set ourselves up for success today and tomorrow.

  5. Introducing [FI Name]’s Merchant Services • What does this mean for [FI Name]? • Increase account balances: Providing this service to a business will ultimately increase our account balance. Merchant Services deposits are transmitted via ACH directly into the merchant’s account. • Increase non-interest income: This program will allow us to provide a solution, while receiving a share in the net income of the merchant’s account. FIS™ is carrying all of the liability and doing all of the heavy lifting – making this program a regular revenue stream with no expense, plus non-interest income for us. • $0.00 expense • No liability • Non-interest income

  6. How Will This Benefit the Businesses We Serve? • Stay competitive, meet customer demands • Almost every business accepts credit, debit and gift cards. If they don’t offer this payment form, their customers might choose to visit a competitor that does. • Reduce expenses • Card payments are much easier and faster to manage than cash or checks. Accepting cards can increase sales, reduce operating costs and free up employee time to work on other projects. • Manage cash flow • Given that the merchant’s daily deposits go directly into their account, merchants receive money sooner and don’t have to wait for checks to clear.

  7. How Do They Sign Up for the Program? Refer a merchant to a dedicated FIS Merchant Sales representative, through ourWeb-based referral system, by phone or e-mail.

  8. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) • What is Merchant Services? • Merchant Services is a solution for businesses to accept and process electronic forms of payment (credit card, debit card and gift card) from their customers. This solution is utilized by various types of businesses: Business to Business (B2B), Business to Government (B2G) and Business to Consumer (brick and mortar, e-commerce, nonprofit). • What credit cards can I accept? • Your business will be able to accept almost any type of card payment brand. All customers are automatically set up to accept Visa®, MasterCard® and Discover® Network. Additional card types, such as American Express®, JCB, Diners Club International®, Carte Blanche®, Wright Express®, Voyager® and others, are also available. If there is a specific card type you would like to accept, please let us know.

  9. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) • Can I accept debit cards? • Yes. Merchants can accept almost any type of debit card in the marketplace. There are two ways to accept debit cards. One is through the PIN debit networks, such as NYCE®. In this case, the cardholder enters his PIN to authorize the transaction. However, most debit cards also allow cardholders to route the transaction through Visa, MasterCard or Discover Network. In this case, the cardholder signs a transaction receipt for authorization instead of entering his PIN. • Can I accept prepaid cards? • Yes, as long as that prepaid card is co-branded and issued through a major card label (Visa/MC/Discover, etc.) or has access through a PIN debit network. • What are my total costs for accepting cards? • The total expense, per month, will vary based upon the activity level of payments accepted, equipment/software utilized and the adherence to best practices. Our relationship managers will guide you through best practices, which will help reduce your total expenses for accepting card payments. See your merchant sales representative for an analysis and estimate.

  10. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) • When do I receive money from card sales? • For Visa, MasterCard and Discover Network, funds are deposited two business days after your equipment or software settles the transactions. The funds are deposited in gross, so that fees are not withdrawn from your deposit. For example, if you have $1,500 worth of sales today, you will see a deposit for exactly $1,500 in two business days. • Since fees are not withdrawn from my daily deposits, how are my fees paid? • Fees are paid once per month and are withdrawn directly from your account at [FI Name]. You will receive a clear, itemized statement that shows the sales activity for the month, the daily activity and the costs for processing the transactions. If you have any questions about your statement, you can contact a relationship manager at any time. Just call 800.552.5828, Option 5, then press #. Or you can send an e-mail to: bcs_merchantrelationship@fisglobal.com.

  11. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) • What do I need in order to accept credit cards? • Traditionally, merchants have utilized Point of Sale (POS) terminals for accepting card payments. Although this hardware is still prevalent in the marketplace, it may not be necessary, depending on your business needs. Many merchants accept card payments without hardware, by using software, e-commerce gateways and other technology. Consult with a dedicated Merchant Sales representative to determine which solution(s) make the most sense for your business. • Can I get these solutions directly from you? • We can provide all of the solutions your business needs to accept card payments, whether you need hardware or not. • If I need to contact someone for support, who do I call? • You can contact a relationship manager at any time. Just call 800.552.5828, Option 5, then press #. Or, you can send an e-mail to: bcs_merchantrelationship@fisglobal.com.

  12. Where Do I Go for Support? • Where does a merchant go for support? • Merchants can contact a relationship manager at any time by calling 800.552.5828, Option 5. Or, send an e-mail to: bcs_merchantrelationship@fisglobal.com. • Where do we go for support? • We can also contact the relationship management team directly, with or without the merchant. If an issue needs to be escalated, that can be done through the relationship management team or by contacting our FIS account manager.
