  7. Transferring from other colleges • Transfers need to be “articulated” (see www.assist.org) • If not articulated, must be approved on case-by-case basis • Transfer units count toward degree requirements • Only 12 units can be transferred toward Major

Waiver of courses • Courses may be waived if: • Student has completed an equivalent course (articulated or individually approved) • Student has significant amount of personal or professional experience in course content • If waived, student: • Does not need to take the course • Must substitute credit units to replace waived units

  10. Options for alternative coursework: • Take EDS 165 (Seminar) multiple times (with different topic) • Take additional units (over the minimum 2 units) of EDS 166 Fieldwork Experience • Take Independent Study (EDS 199) • See your Major advisor for help & approval for all alternatives

  11. G.P.A Requirements • Students must earn a ‘C’ or above in all ASL/Deaf Studies courses taken
