Solution Plan Finalization • Implementation Approach Focus: • Process: • Document PMIX payload + container data elements • Map HL7 V2, NCPDP SCRIPT Medication History, and ASAP Web Services message queries to PMIX Standard • Detail required fields based on PMIX specification • Identify gaps and optionality of request standards • Identify and document appropriate transport protocol that accommodates message content • Detail messaging schemas HL7 V2.7 Messaging PMIX NCPDP SCRIPT 2014041 NIEM XML ASAP Web Services V1.R1 GRA Hub-to-Hub

PMIX Message Architecture • The entire PMIX message is within the SOAP Envelope • This contains both a Header and Body section • Header contains: • Requestor information • Routing information • Response values/codes required in the response • Encryption information for “secure transport” • Body contains: • Information to query the PMP (i.e. Patient Information) • Query response (controlled substance history “report “– data elements) • A number of fields in the PMIX IEPD are not used in the Request/Response transactions
