  3. founder • Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a man who inspires thousands of people across the world. • He has traveled the world, teaching people the Art of Living. He has designed special courses that teach the Sudarshan Kriya, a stress-elimination breathing technique. • Sri Sri is fostering human values and building communal unity through his philosophy and the ideal of a one world family.

  5. why breath is so important • breathing is normally an unconscious process • breath is the link between the body, mind and spirit • when the mind is free of fear, guilt and anger, and is more centered, then it can heal the system of any ailment. • through the practice of our breathing techniques, you will learn to consciously govern the breath so that it brings harmony into your body, mind and spirit

  7. our volunteers from around the world have initiated several projects keeping the preservation of nature in mind • large scale tree plantations through Mission Green Earth, water conservation and protection including cleaning up of rivers, zero-budget chemical-free farming that does not exploit the land and also benefits the farmer are a few such initiatives • it is necessary that these values are inculcated in young minds at home and at school. Awareness programs for youth and children (Deepening Roots, Broadening Vision) also form an important and integral part of this long-term vision. Environmental Care and Awareness Programs

  8. with its worldwide network of volunteers, the Art of Living has been able to immediately reach the calamity-struck place anywhere in the world, providing physical and mental solace and material relief. • from extensive relief and rehabilitation work in Kyrgyzstan , volunteers of the Art of Living have gone beyond the concern of their own safety to tend to the mental, emotional and material needs of natural or manmade disaster victims. 456 people participate in AOL rehabilitation programs during June-August 2010 in Kyrgyzstan.
