  1. Glam Cycling + MTB Society

  2. Why join the society? • Compete in BUCS competitions • Go on group rides • Great society trips and nights out • Great opportunity to be part of a brand new society!

  3. Where is there to cycle near uni? • Wales is host to some of THE most amazing places for road riding, mountain biking, casual rides, cross country, dirt jumping..the list goes on.. • All campuses (ATRiuM, Tref and Glyntaf) are in close proximity to great riding locations for whatever discipline you enjoy

  4. I’ve not been on a bike in years.. • That’s fine, we will run rides aimed at all skill levels and at all fitness levels • It’s a great way for you to try out a new sport, there are so many disciplines to try! • It can be daunting at first, but it’s a great way to get fit and meet new people

  5. What do I need? • A bike would of course be the first step, other members can help you choose the right bike for you, and point you in the right direction if you don’t have one. • The correct protection for the discipline you are doing, helmets are no exception! • Bike insurance, and a good lock is also a great investment for keeping your bike safe

  6. Types of Cycling/MTB • There is a huge variety of disciplines: Downhill, Cross Country, Freeride, Dirt Jumping, street riding: Track, Road, cyclocross, BMX and of course just for fun!

  7. Interested? • Join us on Facebook: University of Glamorgan MTB/Cycling society • Look out in the future on Twitter, and around your campus for details!
