  1. Delaware United Methodist ChurchIssue 2, JULY 2012 • From Pastor Tommy’s Desk • Well can you believe it is July already? Summer is here and in no time at all it will be gone. I hope everyone is staying cool. I have been very busy with the summer youth program and it has been great to see some of you at the softball games. I hope to get caught up on my visiting in September. So if you are wondering where I have been, you can find me at Church on Sunday mornings and Sunday nights and at the ball field on Tuesdays and Thursdays. What time I do get to visit will be spent visiting shut ins. I hope to see Bessie and Dewey next week. If you get a chance, please drop them a note or call them, I am sure they would love to hear from all of you. • Please don’t forget about the Cluster meeting on the 16th . We are hosting it here at Delaware and I would love to see all home made refreshments at this meeting. Cookies, cakes or Brownies would be great! • If you would like to help with VBS please contact me or Mindy Hauser. VBS starts Monday July 30, 2012. • I am getting excited about the “Back to School Bible School.” I believe it will be a great time for all. It will be for kids going into 6th grade and up. We will meet at Church and take the Bus to Indian Lakes. Play, Study, Eat and Play some more. Everyone should expect to get wet. Cause you might get wet, you will probably get soaked! I am talking Dodge Ball, Swimming and some Gladiators just to mention some of the Play. We will be looking at the Ten Commandments and the Lord’s Prayer plus I will teach you strategies to beat peer pressure to try risky behavior. This is one program that kids will not want to miss and will want to bring friends too. It is all FREE!
