  1. Delaware United Methodist ChurchIssue 1, May 2012 • Message From Communications Welcome to Delaware United Methodist Church’s first newsletter! This section of our newsletter is to give any chairperson the opportunity to share their plans and what is going on with their committee. As the Communications Committee, We put together this newsletter. Our other plan is to put out a pictorial directory for the church. It is vital to keep the lines of communication open and both of these things will help our church accomplish this. This newsletter will contain upcoming events, prayer requests and a message from Tommy. We feel this will keep our congregation informed and allows shut-ins to feel part of the congregation. -- Communications Committee Making Disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the World Sunday Service 8:30 am and 6:00 pm Sunday School 9:30 am From Pastor Tommy’s Desk Greeting inthe name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This has always been a big part of our ministry. Please keep us in your prayers. We are also looking forward to our Vacation Bible School for our younger kids and our Back to School Bible School for our older youth this coming summer. Our church is in a great position to really start growing in the area of Youth. I hope to have much more information about all the great possibilities by the time we send out our next Newsletter. Watch for information about “Movie Nights” coming soon to a home near you! There are a lot of good movies out and what a great way to get together and fellowship during the summer.
