DISASTERS CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE
Cross Fell ShelterBox ChallengeObjective • To raise the awareness of ShelterBox • To raise enough funds to purchase 100+ ShelterBoxes
The Initiative • To set up a ShelterBox encampment for one week during mid summer on the top of Cross Fell and invite local business leaders and dignitaries to stay the night at the fee of £490 ( one ShelterBox )
Planned Assistance • The Army – Field Kitchen & Latrines • Air Sea Rescue – Sea King drop • Hoteliers – Chefs • Publicity – BBC / ITV • Mountain Rescue – Safety Support
Encampment 6 Shelter tents with accommodation for 12 paying guests.
Subsistance Each paying participant would receive • Overnight accommodation, dinner and breakfast. • A sleeping bag. • A Cross Fell Shelterbox waterproof jacket. • A certificate confirming completion of the challenge. • A ShelterBox allocation number.
District Club Input • All we do want is the name of a Business leader, Celebrity or Dignitary known to your Club that is willing to enjoy the Challenge … of sleeping with fellow (ess’es) for a night
Invitations • We would then issue an invitation in Spring 2009 and handle all the subsequent correspondence, joining formalities etc.
