Paving the way to success I • Research is a strong component of policy-making • focus on energy efficiency / renewables • but: no specific platform for CHP/DHC • large budgets / networks required • Better coordination • more efficient / effective use of scarce resources • build-up on existing projects
Paving the way to success II • Synergies with • EU funds : especially Structural and Cohesion Funds • International Financial Institutions (EIB, EBRD, WB) • Better cooperation • facilitating access to funding • increased dissemination • enhanced visibility • stronger partner for the EU (implementation) • Deepening the integration of European (manufacturers), national (research institutes/universities)and local level (utilities)
