  6. Ed Tech Plan: Long Form vs. E-Rate

  7. Ed Tech Plan:Long Form vs. E-Rate Long Form (formerly EETT) • For districts who receive K12 Voucher funds • Meets Ed Code • Meets E-Rate requirement • The unknown $$ factor: • Reinstated EETT funding • New state or federal funding • Meets Best Practices E-Rate • For districts who receive K12 Voucher funds • Meets Ed Code • Meets E-Rate requirement

  8. Ed Tech Plan:Long Form vs. E-Rate Criteria Long Form (formerly EETT) • Plan Duration • Stakeholders • Curriculum • Professional Development • Infrastructure, Hardware, Software, Technical Support • Funding and Budget • Monitoring and Evaluation • Adult Literacy • Research E-Rate • Plan Duration • Curriculum • Professional Development • Infrastructure, Hardware, Software, Technical Support • Monitoring and Evaluation

  9. Tips for a Successful Plan Well Written Plan • Addresses CCSS & SBAC • Writes to Example of Adequately Addressed column of Appendix C • Uses tables or other consistent format for goals, objectives, and benchmarks • Contains a concise narrative before each goal • Has measurable objectives and benchmarks that cover each year of plan for each goal • Answers the question, “ What do we have to do to make this goal (objective) happen?” • Includes well developed implementation plan and evaluation component • Refers to E-Rate throughout the plan as appropriate Poorly Written Plan • Does not mention CCSS or SBAC • Falls into Example of Not Adequately Addressed Colum of Appendix C • Sections are missing, randomly written, or appear out of order • Has too much information • Contains unrealistic goals or objectives that are not measurable or do not cover the entire period of plan • TPA/Reader B cannot easily understand how goals will be met • Includes a plan “to plan” • Never mentions E-Rate services
