  5. NWEA/Northwest Evaluation Association is a non-profit organization with regional offices in Portland, Indianapolis, and Houston. www.nwea.org • Aiken County currently tests 1st-9th graders in math, reading and language usage during fall, winter and spring testing windows. • Tests are adaptive and correlated to SC standards. Current normative data is also available for all testing areas and all testing windows. MAP TESTING

  6. Results are available 24 hours after tests are uploaded to NWEA. • Test results are reported in overall RIT scores (Rausch Units) for each testing area. MAP TESTING

  7. Results are also reported in 10-point RIT ranges for goal strand areas • A Class by RIT Report provides a direct link to a SC standards-based DesCartes. • The DesCartes, or learning continuum, outlines the instructional level for students in a given goal strand RIT range. MAP TESTING

  8. MAP testing results can be used to guide differentiated instruction (at all levels). • MAP testing results are stored in TestView, our data management system, allowing results to be easily compared and analyzed. MAP TESTING

  9. Through Testview, we are able to create distribution reports to help us “see” strengths and weaknesses in language, reading, and math by school, grade level, and teacher. Testview Reports
