  1. Paal Poli for the Happy Occasions Made during festivals and special occasions, paal poli is one of the traditional desserts of South India. Made from semolina, the poori is soaked in sweetened saffron milk. Let us see how to make this scrumptious dish with refined sunflower oil manufacturers. Ingredients: ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● All-purpose flour or wheat flour 2 cups Water for kneading Suji/Rava 2 tablespoons Cardamom/Elachi powder ¼ teaspoons Milk 3 cups Chopped almonds/badam 2 tablespoons Sugar ¼ cups Saffron/Kesar ¼ teaspoon Oil for frying the poori Instructions: ● ● In a mixing bowl, add 2 cups of flour and 2 tablespoons of suji. Add the required amount of water, knead it into a smooth, stiff dough, and let it rest for a few minutes. Take a small ball-sized dough and prepare it into a disc shape. Heat the sundew-refined sunflower oil in a kadai. Once the oil is hot, deep fry the poori while you gently press it with a spoon to puff it up. As it puffs up, flip the poori to the other side. If it does not puff up, flip the poori as the bottom side turns golden brown and fry until the poori is all golden brown. In another pan, heat the milk with saffron and let it boil well. Once it starts to thicken, add the sugar, stir well, and continue to boil until the milk thickens. As the milk thickens, add cardamom powder and stir well. Now fold the fried poori into triangles and add it to the warm milk. Dip the poori in the warm milk and let it soak for 10 minutes until the poori absorbs the milk and turns soft. Now garnish the pooris with chopped almonds or nuts of your choice. ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Tasty, mouth-watering paal poli is ready to be served.
