Definition It can be defined as a style of leadership where the leader must identify the needed change, create a vision to guide that change through inspiration, and execute the change with committed members of the group In other words, a transformational leader is one who transforms the work environment and the people in that environment for a positive change through the creation of relationships
What does this leader look like? Act as a positive, relatable role model for followers Value morals and ethical behavior Have a vision which the followers are on board to follow Are respected and trusted Motivate and inspire others to be successful Make their team feel special Want to hear others and stimulate creativity Are supportive of others’ decisions and opinions Coach, advise, and encourage their team

Why I like this leadership… Its goal is to create a positive change in the given environment You can feed off the inspiration of those around you It is a group effort – you’re not alone Promotes creativity and stepping out of your comfort zone sometimes You have someone to look up to, guide you, and encourage you to reach your full potential They have values, integrity, and commitment They act as a cheerleader and want to see you do well Calls for a great deal of interaction aka making new friends!
