  1. The Energy Centre is located within the School of Engineering at The Robert Gordon University’s Schoolhill campus.

  2. Office Location • The Energy Centre has a dedicated Administration Office located in C404. This can be found on the 4th floor of the Clarke Building within the School of Engineering on the University’s Schoolhill Campus.

  3. Administration Staff • The Energy Centre has 2 full time Administrators to assist with your queries. • Susan is the Programme Administrator and is based in C422 • Roma is the Administrative Assistant and is based in C404 Mrs Susan Middleton s.middleton@rgu.ac.uk (01224) 262330 Ms Roma Boulton r.c.boulton@rgu.ac.uk (01224) 262379 Office Opening Hours The Main Administration Office (C404) is open during the following hours Monday – Friday 09.30 – 12.30 14.00 – 16.30 Please note: staff will not see students outwith these hours

  5. Other Sources of Information • “A – Z” Index - is a useful tool to find information on other departments e.g. International Office. • The A – Z index can be accessed via the RGU toolbar.

  6. Other Sources of Information RGU also provides it’s own online Search Engine facility. As well as different departments, students can also search for different members of staff or different subject areas.

  7. Administration Support • While the Energy Centre Staff will do their best to assist with any queries there are some areas where staff are not able to help. Student Finance The financial agreement between a student and the University is a private matter. Because of this, the Energy Centre staff are not able to assist with financial queries – students should contact the Student Finance Department.   8. Administration Support • Student Visas • Only the International Student Advisors are able to deal with student visas and related enquiries including student visa extensions. The International Student Advisors are located on the Garthdee Campus and can be seen by appointment only - isa@rgu.ac.uk • Weekly Drop-in Sessions – (for quick visa queries) are held every Wednesday from 3pm-4pm (Careers and ISA building, (next to Sports Centre), Garthdee Campus) • Post Study work applications – PSW • Only Student Records can produce the letters you require to apply for Post Study work – records@rgu.ac.uk • UK Council for International Student Affairs website (www.ukcisa.org.uk) – for any queries regarding your PSW application Remember – students may also find the answer to their query under ‘Other Sources of Information’

  9. Code of Conduct The Energy Centre staff are committed to helping students during their time on their course. In return, students are asked to conduct themselves accordingly. • Students are asked not to cross behind the Admin Office desk • Students are asked not to interrupt Admin Office staff, student enquiries will be appropriately dealt with. • Students will treat members of the Admin Office with the same respect they would treat any other member of staff. • The workload of the staff varies according to the time of year, please be patient when making an enquiry. Remember – it may be possible to find the answer to your query by searching through the other sources of information available.

Academic Year 2009/10 The EC Induction Week is an intense introduction to your programme of study, but remember, • Read the material you receive – it is relevant therefore it is important. • Remember, other sources of information are available, you may not always have to approach the Admin Staff with a query. • Treat the staff as you would be treated. • Staff will not assist with visa or financial matters – students are asked to contact the appropriate department. • Enjoy your course and best of luck with your studies!
