  2. The Story Of Oolong Tea The origin of Oolong Tea are often traced back to the Fujian province of China. The mountainous terrain and unique climate during this area, creates perfect conditions for oolong tea production.The history of oolong is shrouded in mystery. While there are many myths and legends that detail the origin of Oolong Tea, nobody really knows exactly how and when the primary oolong was produced.   3. The Story Of Black Tea Until the mid 17th century (Late Ming, Early Qing Dynasty), the sole teas consumed in China were green (unoxidized) and oolong (semi-oxidized) teas. The tale goes that while a passing army entered the Fujian province, they clear out to take shelter at a close by tea factory. This held up production at the tea factory, where leaves were left out in the sun, causing them to oxidize for a longer period of time and resulting in darker leaves.
