  2. Research • Oolong tea is made out of: • Energy (per 350ml) 0kcal • Protein (per 350ml) 0g • Lipid (per 350ml) 0g • Carbohydrate (per 350ml)0g • Sodium (per 350ml) 29mg

  3. Fat test • Fat Test: • Rub oolong tea on to Filter Paper • Result: • Nothing Happened • Positive Result: • Becomes Clear

  4. Starch test • Starch Test: • Add 2 drops of iodine solution to some oolong tea • Result: • Turned into yellowish brown • Positive Result: • Becomes brown to black

  5. Glucose Test • Glucose Test: • Add 10 drops of Benedicts solution one fifth of a test tube of oolong tea. • Result: • Turned into dark orange • Positive Result: • Becomes brown to orange • Comment: • This experiment worked well and I got a good result

  6. Protein test • Protein Test: • Take two test tubes • Put 1 small spatula of oolong tea in one • Put about 1 cm depth of water in each • Add 10 drops of Biurets A to each and shake • Add 10 drops of Biurets B to each and shake • Result: • Biuret A: • No difference • Biuret B: • Turned into dark green • Positive Result: • Becomes brown to purple
