    5. 5 Liebert History 1965 Ralph Liebert founded Liebert Corporation in Columbus, OH with first specialized air conditioner with temperature & humidity control for computer room applications. 1978 Liebert added computer power protection with the introduction of the Datawave power conditioner and Precision Power Center (PPC) power distribution unit (PDU). 1981 Initial Public Offering (IPO) on NASDAQ. 1983 Opened Cork, Ireland plant and acquired Franklin Electric’s Programmed Power Division (PPD)(Sunnyvale, CA) to enter the 3 phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) market. 1984 Opened the Liebert Training Center to continue developing our associates. 1985 Organized Liebert Global Services as a business unit and expanded product offering with site management system (SiteScan). 1987 Liebert was acquired by Emerson Electric. Liebert and Emerson’s Computer Power Division were combined to form the Electronics Business Unit. 1991 Acquired Control Concepts to enter AC power Surge business.

    6. 6 1993 Distributed Processing Group (DPG) was formed to pursue the PC, computer network, distributed processing market. 1997 Acquired Edco (Ocala, FL) to expand Surge business into low voltage telecom and datacom applications. 1998 Acquired Hiross (Tognana, Italy), the leading European precision cooling manufacturer. 1999 Organized Emerson Telecom Systems (ETS) to package and deliver all Emerson Network Power Systems (NPS) divisional products. 2000 Opened new air manufacturing plant in Ironton, Ohio. 2001 Opened new subassembly plant in Reynosa, Mexico and 3 phase UPS manufacturing plant in Tognana, Italy. -Acquired PYS Digital (Venezuela) and Tata Liebert Ltd (India) -EMR acquired Huawei subsidiary - Avansys Power Company in China Liebert forms joint organization to serve China & the rest of Asia Liebert History - Continued
