Monday EC Meeting-ABQ • 1375 Attendees in SFO-ran slight surplus • Conformance Statements to be discussed in 802 Task Force, Tues 3PM • Get802 pilot ends in May 2004-final recommendation in the process of being developed. Continued heartburn on getting new drafts available for sale Robert F. Heile

  3. Be sure to check the master agenda for tutorial locations • Jim Lansford resigned as chair of 802.19. Steve Shellhammer has volunteered to serve as interim chair and was appointed Chair pro tem for this session. Robert F. Heile

  4. Looking at whether there is merit in looking at alternative organizations for 802. A meeting is planned for Tuesday to discuss • Joint press release announcing the network support services was postponed until Friday Robert F. Heile

  5. Confirmation vote for 802.20 officers passed. Robert F. Heile

  6. Monday SEC Meeting-DFW • Motion made to place security SG in 802.1 • Motion made to postpone action until Friday-passed • Kauai meeting lost $35K vs budget of $46K • Operated for the year at a net breakeven Robert F. Heile

  7. Monday SEC Meeting-DFW • Get IEEE 802 looking good for rest of year • Letter being drafted to send to offenders who claim to be comply with 802 drafts under development • Looking at alternate sources of funding for SA • entity fees? • sponsor ballot fees? • other? Robert F. Heile

  8. Monday SEC Meeting-DFW • Presentation on possible confusion with recirculation rules • Policy review on creation of Editions given by Jennifer Longman. Editions are not new work and do not contain technical changes. • Reviewing procedures regarding interpretation requests-Bob Grow is contact Robert F. Heile

  9. Monday SEC Meeting-DFW • Approved TAG rules changes • Charter and Operating Rules available for 802.19 • Voted to support Mike Marcus for IEEE fellow • Discussed refund policy-must submit before Monday after close of session Robert F. Heile

  10. Monday Exec Meeting-DFW • Considering changes to the Patent Policy like putting something on the Session Registration Page. • Heard a presentation on IEEE-USA Committee on Communications and Information Policy Robert F. Heile
