After becoming the Executive Vice President at Saint John’s Hospital, Thomas Heric had a wide array of responsibilities that included putting together various health plans and leading the negotiations with primary care practice management companies in California, Michigan, Nevada and North Carolina. He did this all while being the VP of Saint John’s, where he was responsible for 90 primary care physicians over a large geographic area.

Thomas Heric A Board Certified Neurologist Thomas Heric has spent his residency in Neurology at the University of California, getting valuable experience at the Los Angeles Center for the Health Sciences, at the Harbor Hospital, and as a member of the Department of Neurology at Wadsworth Veteran’s Administration Hospital. 10 years after getting his M.D, he became a board certified neurologist after receiving his American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology certification. Thomas Heric is an accomplished neurologist who earned his neurodiagnostic laboratory credentials while conducting work at various accomplished American medical institutions all over the country. These hospitals included the Stand John’s Hospital and Health Center, the Brain Research Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles (where he received his PhD in neurophysiology), the UCLA Medical Center and the Wadsworth Hospital.

Thomas Heric His Work At Neurodiagnostic Laboratory At Saint John’s During his long and prominent tenure at Saint John’s Hospital and Health Center, Thomas Heric has established the hospital’s Neurodiagnostic Laboratory, which he ran and operated for more than two decades. Throughout those years, he supervised as many as eight neurologists, two psychiatrists and six technicians. Together they have established and standardized the testing process for EEG, BAER, VER and Polysomnography examinations. During his three year Medical Residency training Thomas Heric worked at the NeuroPsychiatric Institute along with Dr. Richard Walter. During their work they regularly used electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction (NCV), helping various medical institutions by evaluating their patients with the help of these tests. These hospitals included the UCLA Medical Center and the Wadsworth VA Hospital. The program was led by Dr. Augustus Rose.

Thomas Heric A Member Of The American Neurological Association Thomas Heric is a member of the American Neurological Association, a professional society dedicated to advancing the field of neurology where the members are all academic neurologists and neuroscientists. The organization has one major goal; to learn more about certain neurological diseases and improve our understanding of the nervous system, which is one of the, if not the hardest scientific obstacles. Thomas Heric was always interested in the advancement of the field, conducting, interpreting and supervising studies whenever he saw an opportunity to learn something. With a strong work ethic and a curious mind that was always looking for answers, he spent thousands of hours in laboratories, trying to figure out the intricacies of the human mind both from a mental and physiological standpoint.

  4. Thomas Heric Leading Positions In The Hospital Hierarchy Thomas Heric was always relied upon as a leader throughout his medical career, filling high positions from the 1970’s. His professional roles included being the Chief of Neurology at Saint John’s Hospital and Health Center, the Executive Vice President of the Network Health Financial Services, the Medical Director of Tower Health Plan, as well as being the CEO and President of Beverly Glen Medical Systems. Throughout his impressive medical career Thomas Heric earned memberships in various prominent medical organizations, including the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, American College of Clinical Neurophysiology, Association of California Neurologists, American Neurological Association, British Sleep Society, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and American Academy of Neurology. He also became an elected member of the Sigma Xi, a non-profit honor society that was founded at Cornell University in 1886.
