Practice Times • Every weekday after school (Mon-Fri) unless we have a meet • Be ready to go at 2:30 • Finished by 3:50 • Parents should arrive no later than 4:00 • Late bus
Practice Locations • Middle School field (behind tech room) • Middle School gym (if weather is bad) • Will travel once or twice a week to Mendon Ponds, Semmel Rd, etc. • A bus will always be provided for practices off-campus • Will have a few pool workouts at the high school
What to bring to practice • Waterbottle • Running shoes • Appropriate clothing • Warm weather • Cold weather • Rainy weather • A positive attitude • Watch (optional)
What does a typical practice look like? • Warm-up • Run • Game / Activity • Stretch and cool down • Coaches’ talk • Will have drink breaks periodically

What to expect from CC • Increasing the distance you can run • Strengthening your body • Becoming more flexible • Developing good running techniques • Having fun!
It’s not just about running! • Healthy diet • Hydration • Making good choices • Heart health • “Mental toughness” • Injury prevention (taking care of your body)
Races • League meets (generally Tuesdays) • Most at Mendon Ponds • Invitational meets (generally Saturdays) • Travel further for these • You will always ride a bus to meets • Schedule is available online and will be handed out soon
