  2. Ceramic Process Each product is designed by Ella, she makes first drawing and makes a prototype, than Lukasz look after details and makes a mold, which allows us to make larger quantities and feels market needs. We are using slip casting technique for our wall decorations and brooches to ensure consistency of each batch. Using highest quality fine clay for luxury touch. Liquid clay stays in the mold for number of hours before we are able to work on cosmetic details. We allow each batch to dry for a week before we can fire them under 1000 Degrees Celsius. After first firing we can sand down each piece to ensure there is no sharp edges than we can apply glaze and glass, once this is done products go back to the kiln for final firing at 1260 degrees Celsius. www.themooddesigns.ie

  3. Ceramic Workshops/Classes Lets make some ceramics together. We are happy to share our passion with you. Clay is a amazing material to work with, can be very therapeutic and relaxing. We have 10 years’ experience with running classes and workshops for different size groups. Lukas is qualified teacher and we both have garda clearance certificate allowing us to work with children. From small hen party, family gathering experience to large kids summer camps, schools classes, co-workers, reunions groups. We run ceramic workshops for Acquired Brain Injury Ireland and Western Care for last 6 years. We can drive to any place around Connaught and facilitate workshops. Bringing all necessary tools and equipment for every participant. We provide firing and glazing service at our own premises afterwards and arrange collecting fired pieces 2-3 weeks after date of the workshops. www.themooddesigns.ie

  4. Lockdown Vases The Lockdown Vases are a large art project I created to deal with the overwhelm of the Corona pandemic and the lockdown in Ireland. For 100 consecutive days, I fashioned a vase a day, using different techniques, experimenting with various clays and colours, and exploring new shapes and designs. Some of the vases reflect experiences I’ve had during that time, others mirror news items broadcast throughout the pandemic. As a collection, the Lockdown Vases represent my three-dimensional pandemic journal; each vase is date-stamped with its day of creation, starting with the first vase on the 26th March 2020, and finishing with the last one on the 3rd July. www.themooddesigns.ie
