  9. From KS1 into KS2 Addition: Doesn’t matter what order. Rounding and adjusting. Empty number line. Partitioning. Expanded method in columns. Column addition.

  10. From KS1 into KS2 Subtraction: Always take the smaller number from the bigger number. Counting up. Empty number line. Column subtraction.

  11. Play to learn • How many objects will fit in the pot with the lid done up? • Estimate your answer • Were you right? • What could you do to improve your estimating next time?
