What are the three greatest contributions? • They founded Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and other African religions. • Many civilizations have sprouted in the Middle East (ie. Mesopotamia) • Today, they have been a huge influence in the world economy, because of all its oil.
Religion • They have had a major influence on religion today. • Christianity started here • Islam was founded in the Middle East. It is now the most practiced religion in the world, in over 4 continents.
Civilizations • Agriculture is said to have started there, and because of them many civilizations have sprouted from • They started the first writing, cuneiform. • They invented irrigation • They started the first library • They have housed many civilizations like the Sumerians, Babylonian, Persians, ect…
The Economy • They have a lot of oil • This helps run all things, and keeps money moving in the stocks • Because of this, trade has expanded all over the world, and a lot of our imports come from the Middle East
