  2. Overview Objectives & Program Description Webinars, PD, site visits, hotline & support Induction program Online platform Application process & criteria Outcome notification

Objectives • Provide e-learning capacity building program for Tasmanian RTOs/sites leading to direct outcomes for students & industry; • mentored e-learning professional development by webinar and some face to face; • for both RTOs that are new to e-learning and those with some experience; • Initiative between SkillsTas & ACPET for RTOs to foster cooperation & community of practice

  4. Two streams Introductory RTOs not yet implementing e-learning. Project focus on developing e-assessment or e-learning materials on one aspect of a UoC Intermediate Already trialed e-learning & want to enhance their e-learning strategy. Project focus on developing e-assessment or e-learning materials for an entire UoC

Program components Monthly Webinars –May 29 to Sept 16 PD – up to 4 places per RTO Site visit – 1 mid-project visit – (around 21-25 July) Hotline & support – 2 calls & Skills Tas support Online platform – Moodle for sharing projects Induction program – 1 day face to face May 15 E-learning showcase - October

Time commitment Participate in at least 80% of monthly webinars Participate in Skills Tasmania’s VET E-learning professional development program Research, plan, design, implement & evaluate trial UoC Survey students & clients before & after trial Participate in the site visit Share progress online – Moodle and webinars Submit progress and final reports online Participate in final project showcase in October

  7. Application Process Submit applications via email to Joy joy.deleo@acpet.edu.auby CoB Tuesday 15 April Applications reviewed by selection panel Selection conducted by 2 May Applicants will be advised on 5 May Attend face to face induction on 15 May

  8. Key Criteria Current status of e-learning in RTO How learners/clients benefit from e-learning How does (or would) the RTO engage industry? How are/would e-learning skills (be) transferred across the RTO in an ongoing way? Futurefocus on PD & Action learning

  9. Key Criteria Alignment of e-learning with strategic/business plan Names & roles of participants, technical expertise Organisational connectivity & technological capacity New skills to be developed How will RTO support skill development after the mentoring program? Statement from CEO and IT Manager

  10. Commitment by RTO RTOs to nominate 2 participants plus 1 back up Participants should check availability against dates Statements of support in Application: Endorsement by RTO Manager/Director/CEO to support RTO, ICT Manager/contractor re IT systems & support

  11. Timeline Submit application by CoB Tuesday 15 April Applications reviewed by panel Selection conducted 2 May Applicants will be advised on 5 May by ACPET Attend a face to face induction on 15 May (location to be advised)
