Launching the CCT Writing Initiative: Spring 2011

The CCT Writing Initiative aims to empower students with clear thinking and effective writing skills. Starting this spring, we’ll focus on developing your ability to articulate thoughts and respond in writing through practical exercises. You’ll prepare responses at least two paragraphs long, engaging in both academic and real-world writing situations. The initiative supports 9th, 10th, and 11th graders, helping you become work ready, college ready, and life ready. Join us in enhancing your future through the power of writing!

  3. Why writing? • Cheap all you need is a pencil and some paper • It’s effective • Process your thoughts • Organize your thoughts • Have a product of your thoughts • Easy to build on

  4. What will we be doing? • Prepare written responses at least two paragraphs long • Writing in shops (not just theory) and in academic areas • Building your ability to think, articulate what you are thinking, and complete tasks • Preparing you for your future, not your instructor’s past
