  3. CWRC Progress Accomplishments: Certified Work Ready Communities of Excellence: Cook Brooks Echols Lowndes Worth

CWRC Progress Accomplishments: Certifications Above 80% of Goal: Tift, Colquitt Assistance for Employers: $50 card per employee who certifies Certifications Met and HSGR Increased:Berrien, Lanier Looking for CWRC announcements! HSGR Assistance: Georgia Partnership For Excellence in Education Seminar & Funding

Career Pathways Progress • New Activities: • Two Teacher Industry Tours with LI training • Nine Teacher Interns (GIFT) in bioscience industries for at least 4 weeks each • Teacher Biotech Laboratory Workshop with LI training • Two workshops for Math teachers with LI • Two Bioscience (Forensics 101) Camps for Middle to High School Students to recruit them into bioscience • Seventeen Young Scholars placed in bioscience positions • Developing bioscience programs at WGTC • Bioscience lab funded by USDOL grant

  6. Industry Network Progress • Accomplishments: • 18 job profiles completed • Training identified and some provided • Interest in 501(c)(3)

  7. Home/Core Team Progress • New Accomplishments: • More CWRCs and Celebrations • New members on teams

  8. Leadership Progress • New Accomplishments: • Identified champions and leaders to continue effort including education and industry representatives

  9. Summary of Progress Total Points: 90/100

  10. GOALS to become CWRR • Attain 20% Platinum & Gold Work Ready certificates among available workforce (increase by 4%) • Certify Colquitt and Tift (need 200) • Continue to increase HSGR in all counties • Ensure career pathways in bioscience/agriscience/ chemical engineering from high schools to colleges to universities • Reach talent management ratio of 1.5 to 2.0 in all critical jobs (# needed ÷ # program completers)
