  3. Effective Written Reports • Concisely Written • Interestingly Written; Wide variety of words • Ideas supported by examples, data, evidence • Appropriate use, placement of figures • Passive Voice • Clear Purpose • Proper References • Put in Clear Plastic Binder (per Calvin and Hobbes)

  4. Effective Presentations • Well organized (Introduction, Body, Closure) • Logical flow of ideas • Ideas presented concisely • Ideas supported by examples, data, etc. • Clear explanations • Good visual aids • Speak clearly and at a reasonable speed

  5. Effective Presentations • Well prepared and practiced • Dress appropriately • Conclusions supported by evidence • Match presentation to audience • Confident Appearance • Good diction and grammar - avoid slang • Disregard three of above to make a top 10 list
