  1. WELCOME! Solid State LED From ZENARO Lighting

  2. Zenaro Lighting Inc. Lamp & Fixture Division Of Everlight Electronics LTD Everlight - an industry pioneer in the 1980’s and an industry leader today.

  3. Total LED Solution using Vertical Integration of LED Chip LED Package → LED Module → SSL Product • Real Time Global Services and Logistics • Tier 1 Competitive Product Features and Pricing • Continuous Improvement in Product Quality and Environmental Protection to Achieve the Maximum Energy Savings.

  4. Environmental Protection Pb Free RoHS Compliance ECO Partner (LG) Green Partner (SONY) ECO Partner (Samsung) Certificates Quality Policy ISO 9002 ISO 9001 ISO 14001 TS 16949 SPC Activities To establish a green supply chain that exceeds customer demands through high quality products coupled with effective customer services .

  5. Solid State LED Lamps A brief Introduction to solid state lighting

  6. HOW IS LED BETTER? LIFESPAN 5 – 10X Longer than Incandescent Lamps 2 – 3X Longer than Fluorescent and CFL Lamps ENERGY SAVINGS 8 - 10X More Efficient Than Incandescent 2 - 3X More Efficient Than Florescent CFL

  7. HOW IS LED BETTER? Longer – more reliable lifespan Fully Operational At Subzero Temperatures Ability For Rapid On / Off Operation Allows for occupancy – daylighting – network control systems. Vibration & Impact Resistance No filaments to break. No Radiant Heat Significantly reduces AC cooling costs in buildings. Optic Distribution Allows for well directed – precise lighting control. No harmful UV or IR light.

  8. US Dept. of Energy Projections www.ssl.energy.gov/tech_reports.html By 2020 – LED efficiency will be 2 - 3X greater than present. Electricity use for lighting will be cut by 75%. $250 billion energy cost savings will be achieved between now and 2030 28 million metric tons of carbon emissions will be prevented annually. New power plants and power line construction will be eliminated. Nearly 75% of lighting sold annually will be Solid State by 2030

  9. WOW! THIS MEANS BILLIONS OF DOLLARS FROM… …RETROFIT SALES funded by energy and maintenance savings rather than capital expense or investment. Retrofit lamps provide companies and homeowners with the fastest and easiest means to achieve ROI from energy and maintenance savings.

  10. COMPARING WATTAGE FOR 1 TO 1 RETROFIT Zenaro LED lamps use wattages from 2W to 20W to replace lamps up to 150W Example - 8 - 12W LED lamps replace 40 - 60W incandescent lamp. Zenaro LED fixtures use wattages from 20W to 150W to replace fixtures up to 400W Example - 90 - 120W LED fixture replace 250W street light fixture. RECOMMENED REPLACEMENTS ARE FOUND ON PACKAGING AND ARE AVAILABE IN ZENARO SALES SUPPORT MATERIALS

  11. Example: 1 – CHL HB 150 vs. 1 – 250W MH (312W) at 30ft mounting height.

  12. 12,900 LED Lms. replacing 25 – 30,000 MH Lms! What happened to the lumens? HID / MH lamps are omni directional – LED are very directional LED fixtures direct light where it is need for specific applications. HID / MH have significant lens and reflector losses. HID / MH have higher light loss factors (LLF) .75 vs .90 LLF accounts for loss of performance over time. HID / MH have a ballast factor of approx. 1.25X 400W MH fixture uses 500W of power.

  13. LIGHTING STANDARDS PER SPECIFIC APPLICATONS Zenaro LED lamps and fixtures are designed to provide foot candle levels for specific applications as stipulated by IESNA and other industry standards. Example - Office lighting can range from 20 foot candles per sq. ft. average to 50 fc/sq. ft. av. – depending on standards for specific tasks etc. Example - Parking garage lighting can range from 2 foot candles per sq. ft. average to 5 fc/sq. ft. av. – depending on what standard applies - IES / NPA / Corporate. APPLICABLE IESNA LIGHTING STANDARDS ARE AVAILABE IN ZENARO SALES SUPPORT MATERIALS

  14. ESSENTIAL TERMS IP Rating: Ingress Protection – a rating scale that indicates level of protection against debris, dust and water intrusion into lamp or fixture. IP-20 is dry location – protected from dust. IP-65 is damp location – protected from dripping water. IP-66 is wet location – protected from low pressure water. IP-67 is wet location – protected from high pressure water. L70 Lifetime / Lifespan: The point at which a lamp or fixture is at 70% of it original lumen output. Typically measured in hours. IES File: A file format used in lighting plot model layouts. Based on IESNA standards for photometric measurement and calculation. IES - Illuminating Engineering Society of North America: Among the most recognized technical authorities on illumination. Recognized by DOE – EPA and others as the authority to develops and publish standards for testing products, lighting design, photometric report files and industry best practices.

  15. ESSENTIAL TERMS UL / ETL: The most common electrical and fire safety listing labels for products sold in the US. Both types conduct testing stipulated by the NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency) and other organizations. For that reason, both are equally valid and accepted by electrical and building inspectors. EnergyStar: An official Program of the US – EPA that sets standards energy efficiency and other criteria for various electrical products sold in the US. Includes specific, but not all categories of lighting. Design Lights Consortium (DLC): A private entity operated by the Northeast Energy Efficiency Program(NEEP) under the sanction of the US – DOE to set standards for energy efficiency, efficacy and other criteria for various lighting products sold in the US. Includes specific categories of lighting not covered by EnergyStar.

  25. Solid State LED Lighting APPLICATION & PROJECT SPECIFICATION

  26. PROJECT DESIGN & PRODUCT SELECTION “specification” PROCESS Public / Private Architectural - Most often involves certified lighting design / engineering. Lighting standards and product specifications are supplied. Typically a bid sales process. Municipal Facilities & Roadways - Requires certified lighting design / engineering. Lighting standards and product specifications are supplied. Requires a bid sales process. ESCO - Large projects most often involve certified lighting design / engineering. Lighting standards and product specifications are supplied. Typically not a bid process Facilities Management - Full spectrum of project scale. Is either 1 to 1 replacement into existing fixtures or requires lighting design / layout modeling. Smaller Scales Facilities / Homeowners - Most often involves 1 to 1 replacement into existing fixtures.

  27. PROJECT DESIGN & PRODUCT SELECTION “specification” PROCESS Brief Overview: Lighting Design – Application Modeling Determine Application type and end user requirements Determine IESNA / local code application requirements Photometric layout model of project ROI model of project Local / Regional / National rebates or incentive factors Complete project specification / proposal package for presentation
