  2. The Origin of latin Latin was spoken in Rome and Lazio from the early first millennium After the fall of the Western Roman Empire, for more than a millennium, Latin influenced culture, science and international relationship of the various local languages.

  3. The most important customs of the Latin language nowadays are: • Latin is the official language of the Vatican City • the European Community and United States use as official motto Latin words like : In varietateconcordia (in the difference there is union) and E pluribus unum (out of many, one!). • In Switzerland to avoid the differences between the three official languages they used to call them Confoederatio Helvetica • Many gothic and black metal bands use to write in their lyrics some Latin words
