Intro to HEALTHeLINK • HEALTHeLINK, the Western New York Clinical Information Exchange (WNYCIE), is a Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO) • It is is a collaborative effort among physician, hospital, and insurance organizations to share clinical information in efficient and meaningful ways to: • Improve the delivery of care • Enhance clinical outcomes • Help control healthcare costs throughout the region
Intro to HEALTHeLINK • HEALTHeLINK is a not-for-profit organization established through funding from: • The Catholic Health System • Independent Health Association • Erie County Medical Center Corporation • Kaleida Health • HealthNow New York (BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York) • Roswell Park Cancer Institute • Univera Healthcare • NYS grants
HEALTHeLINK Software • Allows providers to view, print and track Clinical Results (labs, radiology, transcription) through the Inbox • Data Sources currently sending to the Exchange: • The Catholic Health System • Kaleida Health • ECMCC (ADTs only) • Gives physicians the ability to pull results for new patients or emergency situations • Includes an electronic prescription component
