Preparatory Visit to Herne, Germany: A Week of Cultural Exchange and Learning

This report details my preparatory visit to Herne, Germany, from January 17 to 21, 2011. Traveling by German trains, I experienced a week filled with cultural exchange at Göreschule alongside partners from Ireland, Spain, Romania, and our German headmistress, Raphaela. We enjoyed cooking and eating together while learning about each other's cultures. The classrooms were diverse, with one-third of the students being Turkish. The experience was enriching, fun, and memorable, showcasing both the vibrancy of Herne during the day and its charm at night, despite having my favorite and less favorite places.
