4. 4 ISRI’s Image Campaign Over one year ago, ISRI launched its image campaign in an effort to effect a positive, permanent change in attitude as it affects all members of ISRI and the industry we represent
Although materials theft may have prompted this effort, the campaign is far broader. The goal is to develop communications initiative to help solve active and future problems
All commodities
Not linked to any one issue (such as theft)
Gradual roll-out vs. switch turned on
Long-term approach & commitment

6. 6 ISRI’s Image Campaign ISRI Code of Conduct
For nearly one year, ISRI has been working on a draft code of conduct for the membership
Debate has focused on questions of whether Code should be --
Mandatory vs. voluntary/aspirational
Detailed vs. general
Strictly enforced vs. general reliance on ISRI bylaws which provide enforcement when member not acting in best interests of association and/or industry
Public Hearing in October on draft Code
Result will likely be a redraft towards a more aspirational, less detailed Code with reliance on bylaws
Redraft will be sent to all members by the end of the year, with goal of Board vote at April 2009 ISRI Convention
