(Ps 16:1) God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble (Ps 46:1) Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (Prov 3:5-6 Scriptures Brings Light into Dark Places(Counseling through The Bible)

  26. SCRIPTURE A SURE WEAPON • Give Your Personal Testimony of Fear caused by the attack(s). • Shoot these missiles: • For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.(2 Timothy 1:7) • Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.(Psalm 23:4)

  29. The Weapon of The Mind of Christ • Having the Mind of Christ guards against futile thinking (Ephesians 4:17-19) • Guards against the lack of godly knowledge • Guards against hardening of the heart (Think about Pharaoh • Guards against loss of sensitivity

  30. 32. Process of Forgiving • Interview and Prayer Process • What did this person/situation do to you that created a loss for you, damaged your reputation, or cause you pain? • If I were to ask you to forgive this person, what would you say? • Is it safe for you to confront this person? • If it is have you done it? • On a scale of one to ten, with ten being genuine repentance, and one being remorseless, blame shifting where would the offender land? • Do you expect or need to have a relationship with this person?

  33. Interview and Prayer Process Continued: • Will you become more vulnerable because of what the person did if you confront the person? • Are you confident this person, if he/she remains remorseless will one day meet God’s discipline? (1= no confidence, 10=full confidence) • Have you accomplished for yourself the type of acknowledgement and acceptance of responsibility you’d like to see from this person? • What obstacle does God need to move in this case that you cannot move? • Take this obstacle (mental/emotional stronghold) to God in prayer. • Make a conscious choice to forgive, and take the decision to God in prayer.

  34. Praise - Ground to Air Missile • 1 Chronicle 16:25a: for great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. • Praise is a response to God. • In praise we reflect back to God of what He has revealed about Himself to us with expressions of our admiration and appreciation. • Deepens our sense of what God means to us. • Praise expresses God’s goodness toward us.
