  2. Obesity: Obesity can be defined as excessive enlargement of the body’ total of fat. There is no biological reason for men and women to get fatter as they grow older. But now a day’s obesity has been called the main health problems of modern society. Childhood obesity is also becoming more prevent.

  3. General Problems of Obesity and over weight • Obese children may experience delayed puberty • Obese teen aged girls may be predisposed to certain type of cancer. Cancer is also related with over eating , excessive consumption of alcohol and high fat diets. • The overweight people are accident prone.

  4. Health Related Risk Factors of Obesity and over weight. • It may cause hypertension. • It may cause diabetes. • It may cause renal disease. • It may cause gall bladder disease. • It may cause respiratory disease. • It may cause coronary heart disease.

  5. Criterion of obesity and over weight • Present body fat: The average body fat for adult male and adult female. Is 15% of body weight respectively. When the average value of body fat increases by 5% the boarder line for obesity of respective category begins. It means 20% and 30% body fat of the body fat of the weight of adult male and female respectively make them obese.

  7. Obesity and preventive measures • Dieting and weight control. • Physical Activity and weight control. • Dieting plus physical activity and weight control. • Drugs and weight control.
