  3. IB First Year • IB has changed…… • No longer 2 world literature essays…. • NOW just one “Written Assignment”. (25%) • Based on one of the 3 works in translation • The Stranger (French) • Hero of Our Time (Russian) • Kitchen (Japanese) • Process: Graded Discussion, Reflection, In Class Write.

  4. IB First Year Individual Oral Presentation -10-12 minutes in length -must be on an American Lit. novel -Question/answer period -15 % of IB Grade

  5. AP Language Test • Rhetoric • Non fiction • Multiple Choice • Synthesis Essay • Style Essay • Argumentative Essay • Three hour exam: multiple choice, three essays in two hours.
