  2. STEP #1: Identify the job scope to be performed and assure a clear understanding. At this time also identify your company name and the unit/block where the job will take place. JOB EXECUTION PLAN

  3. EXAMPLE JOB EXECUTION PLAN

  4. STEP #2: Identify each job element STEP #4: Plan the execution of the steps identified, include the “who”, “how”, etc. and indicate this on the JEP. STEP #3: Identify the major steps associated with each job element and indicate these on the JEP.

  6. STEP #5: From the execution of steps identify the training required and indicate in the training box of the JEP. (example: If the job requires the use of red tag and red tag training is indicated on each individual training badge that will be working under the protection of the red tag). Date: X

  8. STEP #6: From the execution of steps identify and note any required licenses. (example: If the job requires the use of a JLG an operators license is required by the operator and should be noted in the licenses box of the JEP. Date: X

  10. STEP #7: From the execution of steps identify and note on the JEP any specific PPE required and by whom. (example: If a jack hammer is required the PPE section should indicate face shield, double hearing protection, metatarsal guards, etc.) JOB EXECUTION PLAN X X ear plugs, muffs X

  12. STEP #8: From the execution of steps identify and log any “line of fire” concerns. Capture the control and elimination required for line of fire issues on the individual’s STAC that will complete that portion of the task.

  14. STEP #9: From the execution of steps identify and log any sensitive equipment located in the work area. (Sensitive equipment could be level indicators, plastic or temporary piping, quick opening valves, temporary wiring, etc.) Capture the control and elimination required for sensitive equipment issues on the individual’s STAC that will complete that portion of the task.

STEP #10: Identify and write down any fall hazards/other area issues (ie. , weather, etc.) Capture the control and Elimination required for these issues on the individual’s STAC that will complete that portion of the task. (Example: fall hazards may include floor openings, uncompleted scaffolds, or unprotected elevated work.)

  18. STEP #11: Review the JEP with each crew member, gather their ideas, and input and have each individual print their name and sign off on the JEP. Also indicate all “at risk” employees

  20. JOB EXECUTION PLAN STEP #12: Indicate the Foreman/Crew Leader, Supt., and Safety Contact on the front page at the top of the document. The individual completing the document must sign the “completed by” portion of the document and date it. This is to be filled out prior to starting the job.

  22. STEP #13: The “additional comments” portion of the document can be used for a diagram, close out communication, or any other uses. JEP Completed By: ____________________________________________ Date: ___________________ STEP #14: After completing the job complete the close out section and indicate if the area has been cleaned up, documents have been signed off (permit, red tags, etc.) and the permit turned in and the job status is communicated to the customer. Retain this document for seven days.
