Please schedule an appointment through the office or by email. Teachers are assigned morning duties and it is not always possible to address important issues in unscheduled discussions. I want to give you the time you deserve.

  3. School Rules • Attendance Policy Doors open at 7:30. Office side locked until then. Early arrivals enter in back Teachers must be here by 7:20. Teachers are not obligated to be here earlier. Students will be escorted into the classroom at 7:45. Attendance, unpacking, prayer Tardy after 8:00 a.m. Every 3 tardies = Detention • Uniform Policy Uniform violations: two warnings, third = $5.00 fine Regular Uniform: All black shoes, solid socks, white or black, belts. Hair neatly kept. Mass Uniform: Collar blouse, White dress shirt, Pants, Skirts, Mass Sweater P.E. Uniform: OLL shorts, shirt, sweatshirt, gym shoes for running and exercising

  4. School Parties • Room Parent • Birthday Parties: Schedule with the teacher prior to the date. The last 30 minutes of the day. 2:00 Please Note: Personal invitations may not be given out unless the whole class is invited. • School Holiday Celebrations: snacks, drinks, goodies, treats are all okay for Valentines, Christmas, etc. $6.00 fee is collecting for these parties. No pizza or food is allowed. • Support PTO Family Events: Purpose is to build community. A community creates a vibrancy in the school environment

Classroom curriculum • Religion: Sadlier Publishers : We are the Church, Discipleship, Sacraments, Prayers, Mass • E.L.A: Onward Readers: reading fluency, word study, comprehension, writing • Math: Envision by Pearson: Multiplication, Division, beginning fractions • Science: Interactive Science by Pearson: What is Science? Discovery, Name the different Sciences • Social Studies: California, History of, community structures, government, citizenship,

Classroom Rules and Expectations • RESPECT for God, Self and Others : How do we build the Kingdom of God? • I expect that we will all collaborate and participate in the Spiritual, Intellectual and Social growth of our children. • I expect the students to try their best and to communicate their needs, to be comfortable asking for help, and to collaborate with each other for growth. • I expect them to learn the value of being considerate, responsible, productive, and to have a growth mindset.

  7. Classwork and homework • Classwork is to be completed in class or after school on a scheduled make-up day Grading Scale will be posted on the My website. Assessments: Formative –exit tickets Summative – Quizzes, Chp. Tests • Homework is to be completed daily. Homework will be posted in Weebly by 4:00 p.m. • Daily reading log • Multiplication facts • E.L.A. : Word Study List and Phonics or Grammar • Math: Multiplication Facts and a practice or reteach handout All homework assignments will be related to the days lesson or a review concept for maintenance.

Routines for growth • Reading Fluency daily: timed reading passage, record scores over time • Multiplication Facts Daily: 12 facts in 50 seconds, mixed order • Morning warm-up routine: Math reviews, number sense, place value, addition, subtraction • Prayer & Scripture: • Stories of the Saints:
