  4. Plants: Grassland Plants/Adaptations Yellow eyed grass insect pollinated Milkweed contains poisonous chemicals Joe-Pyeweed bright colors to attract insects Teasel supplies seeds for birds Ironweed small seeds for good travel

Tourist Attractions • There are two grassland national parks called Samburu and Shamwari. • You can hunt Elephant, Rino,Buffolo,Lion and Leopard. • The Samburu national park is located in Kenya and the Shamwari national park is located in Eastern Africa. Agricultural/ Land Uses • The Savanna's soil is very Porous with a lot of drainage of water. • The proportion of the soil is created by animals matter. • Some times the amount of rain causes different grasses to grow. • Prairie rich soils support tall grasses • Deciduous trees and shrubs scattered across the landscape. Environmental Concerns • Environmental concerns are seasonal fires. • Most animals are killed by fires. • The animals that were killed could be birds, grasshoppers, stick insects, beetles, mice, and lizards • Violent thunderstorms also occur and start in October Forest fire destroying a forest

  8. Climate is important in the savanna and prairie season. In them seasons it gets up to 97 degrees. It only rains sometimes and when it does it gets even hotter. Prairies seasons rains more than the savanna season. Climate This is the savanna

A savanna receives as much as 120 cm. of rain each year. prairie receives more rain than the desert it does not receive enough rain for trees to grow.
