  4. VAWT (Vertical Axis Wind Technology) • Insensitivity to wind direction allows for larger rotors • Simplicity of design reduced O & M costs • More efficiency, smaller design • Silent or near silent design • Fits more aesthetically into current landscape

RESIDENTIAL • Utilized during day for peak demand • Power generated is stored in battery backup then excess sold to grid • Maintains grid attachment for nighttime usage • Greatly decreases cost of yearly utility • Personal investment and wait for payback • LARGE SCALE UTILITY • Larger array equals a lower cost of energy production • Project funding for corporation, government or municipality can be backed by bonds • Jobs would be local to Statia, not elsewhere that energy is created • Excess energy could be sold regionally to other islands • Reduction of carbon footprint for the island

  18. SIPs • High efficiency, Structural Insulated Panels or (SIPs) for residential and commercial construction. The newest panels are now created with wind loads in excess of 200mph and structural capacity for multi-story buildings. • A building constructed of SIPs can reach near net zero.
