Role Play Team Decision Making Events PRIOR TO DISTRICT COMPETITION: • Study vocabulary • Practice taking old exams and role plays • Each partner takes a multiple choice exam over the content area in our school’s computer lab (score averaged with presentation score) PREP AREA AT DISTRICT: • Need ID, pencil, & partner • 30 minute prep time with your partner to study the business situation & organize your analysis BEFORE THE JUDGE (A Business Executive): • 15 minute interview 10 minutes explaining your team’s analysis 5 minutes for the judge to ask questions SCORE: • Presentation weighted 2x the score of both competitor’s exam points
Business Management & Entrepreneurship • Entrepreneurship Innovation Plan • Present a concept paper explaining an opportunity in the marketplace • 20 min. presentation, 5 pg paper, 1-3 team members • Entrepreneurship Participating – Independent • Present a business plan for creating a new business • 20 min. presentation, 11 pg paper, 1 person • Entrepreneurship Participating – Franchise • Present a business plan for creating a new franchise business • 20 min presentation, 11 pg paper, 1 person

District Competition Deadlines • October 22nd: Competition forms are DUE • December 14th: Written event papers are DUE for proof reading • November-December(ish): Scheduled practices for each team to rehearse presentations • January 19th: District Career Development Conference
