  4. DECA Week • To Dos: • Sign DECA Banner (will hang outside D100) • Committee to make posters & Teacher Appreciation Breakfast • Vote for Favorite Teacher/Decorate Door • Text to: 37606 • Message: type “421157” space “favorite teacher’s last name”

DECA Fundraising • 100+ Competitors going to District • Last year we spent $40,000-$50,000 on travel, hotels, registration, etc. • And we didn’t have near as many Competitors! • Those that competed last year remember the hassle of raising money before Internationals • Two upcoming Fundraising events that we need everyone’s participation

Formula 1 • Formula 1 Race is next weekend, November 16th- 18th • First race on new track; General Admission tickets sold out in August • Generous LT family donated one 3-Day pass to LTHS • Mrs. Brents gave it to DECA to use as a fundraiser • Any money we make from this is pure profit! • Selling “Raffle” tickets for $5 a piece • 3-Day Pass (FRI, SAT, SUN; Nov. 16-18) • Turn 5 on track • Face Value $350 - $500 • All DECA members responsible for selling 5 tickets • Turn in money and tickets to D100 by 11/14 by NOON • If all 175 members raised $25, we’d make $4,375 • Winner Announced 11/14 end of day

  8. Just Keep Golfin • Largest Fundraiser of the year • 50% of proceeds go to Just Keep Livin Foundation; 50% to DECA • Event Details • Sunday, December 9th • $150 per person; $500 per foursome • Sponsors & Donations welcome 11:30 Registration 12:30 Shotgun Start 5:00 Awards & Silent Auction

Just Keep Golfin • How you can help: • Every member getting promotional packet/ training today • Use this to solicit players and donors • Service Hours given to anyone who raises money • 1 hour per donation/player • Prizes for all who raise money • Whoever raises most gets $100 AMEX gift card • Email going to DECA Parents this week asking for their support as well

Just Keep Golfin • Goals • 72 golfers • 2 Awards Banquet Sponsors ($2,000) • 3 Gift Bag Sponsors ($1,000) • 4 Platinum Sponsors ($600) • 5 Gold Sponsors ($400) • 10 Silver Sponsors ($200) • $3,000 raised in Silent Auction Monies Raised if Meet Goals: $25,000 Less Expenses: 8,000 Profit $17,000 50% Donated to JK Livin $8,500 50% to DECA $8,500

  11. Just Keep Golfin • Recognition • Justin Wolfe – planning the event • Cole Woods – obtaining free printing • Bri Dominguez – securing 100 Gift Bags for players • Brit Golf bottled water • Tees, ball markers, divot repair kits • Sleeve of balls from Dick’s Sporting Goods • YOU!

  12. Just Keep Golfin • Silent Auction • We’re going to need items donated from community • Biggest revenue generators: • Restaurants • Anything Autographed • Wineries • Services • Dentists, Chiropractors, Hair Salons, Spas, etc.

Just Keep Golfin • Class Gift Baskets • Each grade responsible for gathering items to fill one themed basket for Silent Auction • Need volunteer to organize from each grade • Possible themes include: • Movies • Spa Packages • BBQ • Restaurants • LT Spirit • Family Game Night • Local Golf Courses • Candy/Baking Basket • Sporting Events

Competition Update • Thank you to everyone who’s turned in their papers • Keep up with the revisions; new due dates • D102 Computer Lab open before school, after school, and during lunch to work on your papers • Officers there M- Th until 5:00 to help you • Practice, Practice, Practice YOU’RE DOING GREAT!!!!!

Summary • Need from Chapter Members • Sell 5 raffle tickets by 11/14, return ticket and money to Matheson by NOON that day • Everyone responsible for $25 (5 tickets @ $5 each) • Volunteers for • DECA Week • Class Gift Basket • Just Keep Livin’ Golf Tournament need sponsors, golfers, and players!
