  2. Fine Arts Program rated Exemplary Oliveira Fine Arts students have earned numerous distinctions in UIL competitions. Our Fine Arts students participate in Band, Choir, Dance, Ballroom Dance, and Visual Arts. Oliveira Middle School

  3. Wellness and Physical Education Programs rated Recognized Oliveira students participate in Get Moving activities, including runs and walks sponsored by various organizations throughout the year. Our campus sponsored the 1st Annual Dolphin Dash in March 2014 to encourage school and community involvement. Oliveira Middle School

  4. Community and Parental Involvement rated Recognized Our parent liaison hosts monthly parent meetings to provide information about district programs and services. In addition, several community outreach programs, such as a Canned Food Drive and a Toy Drive are coordinated by the NJHS sponsor and the Community in Schools Coordinator. Oliveira Middle School

  5. 21st Century Workforce Development rated Acceptable Our campus participates in college day events to increase college awareness. Students also learn about various occupations through the Career and Technical Education classes and visits from community members. Oliveira Middle School

  6. Dropout Prevention Strategies rated Exemplary Our campus has four counselors, including an At-Risk counselor, to provide individual guidance to students. Through the use of our computer labs and online programs, students are able to practice their math and reading skills to become successful learners. After school academic tutorials provide additional support. Oliveira Middle School

  7. Second Language Acquisition Program rated Recognized Our ELL students receive supplement academic support by utilizing ESL computer assisted intervention software. Our students are provided with cultural awareness experiences by participation in classroom activities and events such as Charro Days. Oliveira Middle School

  8. Digital Learning Environment rated Recognized Campus resources support technology integration through the use of three computer labs on campus. Our STEM program students also employed technology skills by participating in a robotics competition. Oliveira Middle School

  9. Gifted and Talented Program rated Recognized G/T students participated in History Fair, Science Fair, and UIL One Act Play. Several of them received trophies and ribbons for placing in their events. Oliveira Middle School
