  1. Wado UK First Aid Course Delivered By North East Medical Services Funded By National Heath Service Hull 25th March 2012

  2. North East Medical Services delivered a First Aid course for our Wado UK Karate Group on the 25th March. The course was part funded by a grant from National Heath Service - Hull , with the remainder being paid either by the delegates or their clubs. The idea was to make sure that all of our students were adequately protected during our regular training sessions. This could only be achieved if our instructors or nominated volunteers are trained correctly. The course was in the main delivered as a First Aid at Work course, but the essential requirements for our chosen sport are well covered under these parameters. There were 13 prospective First Aid candidates on the course, from three of our member clubs. Representatives were from the Woodford Dojo, Shinken Dojo and Hull Zanshin Dojo. The day was a long one with a start time of 9.30am and a finish time of 4pm. Never the less with the variation in subjects covered, the time went quickly. All of those in attendance passed the course successfully and are now trained First Aiders for a period of three years. The day was well received and very educational. We would like to thank Val of North East Medical services for delivering the course and the National Health Service – Hull for funding it. We will look forward to seeing Val and her staff again at our Wado UK East Yorkshire Championships in October. Click to continue
