  1. 2010 Spring WHCL EDSCEnd-Of-Year Event Survey

  2. Employee and Department recognition. • I’ve never been to one. • To build camaraderie • To blow off steam and relax from a long session. • To boost morale and decompress from the semester • To recognize staff and faculty for exemplary services provided throughout the year. Also, to have some fun as a team. • To bring staff together and celebrate the year and its accomplishments • To learn how to better the lives of children and offer caregivers with strategies. • To have fun and relax. I would like to see more classified employees being praised for their hard work. I really get tired of hearing how great Don is and all the other Administration people. • An administration sponsored get-together to promote good feelings. • I believe the main purpose of this event is to bring all employees of WHCL together to enjoy time together and remember the year. • Year-end gathering to acknowledge accomplishments of staff and to recognize the positive and funny happenings during the academic year. • Morale building. Helps faculty and staff get to know one another. It's hard to interact with everyone during the semester, so it is nice to spend some time at the end reconnecting with people you haven't talked with for awhile. • Fun

  3. Certificates or recognition to employees that have made a contribution to students or staff. • Close out the School Year with a bag Lunch • To designate a specific event such as a dinner-proceeds could go for a good cause • Campus King/Queen from both Faculty & Classified - donned by Don himself! During meal, end of year wrap up regarding accomplishments & great news! • How about a more informal end of year BBQ, sort of a walk up and walk out sort of thing so everyone can attend, making sure the food lasts throughout the whole time. • None, I enjoy the food and follies. • I would like to see our employee's who have been here for many years get nice size plaques to show they our not forgotten. • Follies often include an insiders feeling from those that are in administrative meetings and get together often. I would prefer just a 'Thank you, staff'. • No mocking of staff • A carnival • Too hectic of a time • I have never attended Food and Follies due to graduation commitments the day before. I usually do not work the Friday after graduation. • I think this name is fine! • Keep the food--forget the follies. • Food & Follies is fine, just don't do it on Friday or the attendance will be low. You may also want to do multiple smaller parties during the last week so more people can attend. They could be just appetizers and drinks so faculty/staff could hang out and talk with each other at the end of the semester. They don't have to be big events with full meals and funny presentations.

  4. Doesn't matter. • I have never heard of this event. • Lunch time - Conference Center • Jack Stones barn or somewhere outside • On campus-during working hours to include as many as possible. • Coalinga • BBQ, cooked by deans, supervisors and VP's • Fresno, CA • Off campus, after work hours • Not in the heat outdoors • Location is OK as is. On campus, indoors or out. A buffet is OK. I would prefer afternoon. The day depends on whether it is finals week or before. • Park • McDermont Field House • 2 weeks before • Have a pot luck at Hickey Park on a Saturday. Get a keg of beer, play softball, bring family. • Outdoors like we used to with Don bar-b-quing • Conference center [7 responses]

  5. Comments: • If I have to pay for my own plate of food, whatever price that was, I would be willing to pay. • Depends on the event. If it was a full meal and entertainment, $20-30. If it was a smaller party, $5-10. I would prefer multiple low-key, free events during the last week so it accommodates more people's schedules.
