  9. It is reported by the UN that in the world 40,000,000 people are living with HIV/AIDS , of whom 3,100,000 have died this year.

  10. AIDS is the 4th leading cause of death worldwide and the No.1 cause of death due to infectious disease. It has become the worst medical disaster ever experienced by humankind.

How do the “disease detectives” do their job? They are trying to control and prevent diseases. Jane usually asks people if they have a fever, Headache or sore throat and when they got sick. She uses the information she collects to find out what caused the disease. Some detectives work in a laboratory, and others, travel to areas where a disease hasbroken out to collect information.
