  6. Goal # 5 A culture of excellence at Northeast High School = professional dress Fridays.

  7. Key Features • Students will be grouped as an academic cohort in Honors Biology, Honors English and Honors US History. • School counselors will meet quarterly with students. • Academic monitoring throughout the year.

  8. Key Features • Tutoring and academic assistance will be available. • Special activities such as guest speakers, field trips, portfolio development, etc. • Mentoring by the NHS Faculty

  9. Students will • Meet all requirements for graduation. • Continue academic rigor by taking Honors and Advanced Placement courses. • Maintain a 3.5 GPA.

  10. Special Recognition: AP Diploma • AP Scholar: 3 full year AP exams with a 3 or higher • AP Scholar with Honor: 4 full year AP exams with a 3 or higher • AP Scholar with Distinction: 5 full year AP exams with scores of 3 or higher • National AP Scholar: 8 full year AP exams with scores of 3 or higher
