  1. DS200 IDEA EXTENSION PORT PARAMETERS

  2. PURPOSE • The purpose of this presentation is to explain the details of all the extension port parameters listed in Idea.

  3. PORT PARAMETERS • These parameters can be set specifically for individual ports and then can be copied to multiple ports by the use of Multiple Port Parameters menu.

  5. PORT PARAMETERS • ‘#’, ‘*’ keys active: • If programmed as Yes, extensions can use their # keys to put theirs calls on hold and * keys to end the calls. • Otherwise, these keys do not have special functions.

  6. PORT PARAMETERS • Access a DISA line with: While you are away from the system, you can call the system’s DISA line, and make external calls using your password. This program lets you to make: • Calls with your own authority. • Or only local calls.

PORT PARAMETERS Example: • Your extension number is 1113 and you have long distance call authority. • You are at home and you need to make a call for business. • Call the system’s DISA line throguh your home phone. • Dial 9 + 1113 + your password do dial : • local & long distance numbers, • or only local numbers.

  8. PORT PARAMETERS • ARS access authority levels: • They are read-only parameters and show the LCR authority of extensionin Day and Night modes.

  9. PORT PARAMETERS • Background music mode: • Using this feature, you can listen tothe external music source throughyour handsfree telephone.

  10. PORT PARAMETERS • Call Pick-Up Group No: They are read-only parameters and show the number of next extension that can pick up the incoming calls be pressing “5”. • Call pick up groups can be formed with different extensions for Day and Night Modes.

  11. PORT PARAMETERS • Calls are picked-up with offhook: You can program the extension to pick up calls from his group by: • Pressing 5, or • Just lifting the handset.

  12. PORT PARAMETERS • Can access by 9 only trunk whom ringing-sbsc is own: You can program the extension to access: • All lines (within his authority), or • Only to the lines that ring on himself.

  13. PORT PARAMETERS • Can Activate ‘Call Back’ : Sets the permission of the extension to use Call Back facility. • Can Activate ‘Call Pick-up’ : Sets the permission of the extension to use Call Pick-up facility.

  14. PORT PARAMETERS • Can activate “Follow Me”: Sets the permission of the extension to use Follow Me facility.

  15. PORT PARAMETERS • Can be forwarded to Unanswered/Busy ACD menus: Sets the permission of the extension to be forwarded to EVM200 when he calls an extension who has permission to use EVM menus when he is busy / not answering. • Also see the parameter “Unanswered/Busy calls return to”.

  16. PORT PARAMETERS • Can be signalled: Decides whether other extensions can press “9” to warn thisextension, when he is busy.

  17. PORT PARAMETERS • Can call everyone: • Sets the permission of theextension to call the extensions that aremarked as “cannotbe called”.

  18. PORT PARAMETERS • Can do “break-in” in E&M PLC mode: Sets the permission of theextension to intrude PRI, PLC and LB lineswhen the system is in PLC mode.

  19. PORT PARAMETERS • Can do “cut-in” in E&M PLC mode: Sets the permission of the extension to terminate a line’s ongoing conversation (after intruding that line) when the system is in PLC mode.

  20. PORT PARAMETERS • Can do “step-by-step” in E&M PLC mode: Sets the permission of the extension to go to remote systems through PLC lines of other transient systems, just bydialing access codes of PLC lines when the system is in PLC mode.

  21. PORT PARAMETERS • Hotline mode: Programs the extension for one of the following functions after lifting handset: - immediate / delayed call to a specific extension or line • immediate / delayed access to a line • immediate call for common pool numbers (997, 998, 999).

  22. PORT PARAMETERS • Hotline: Programs the number of extension or line if the hotline mode is defined as call to extension or line. • Can hold in hotline mode: Sets the permission of the extension to put his call on hold when he is programmed as a hot line extension.

  23. PORT PARAMETERS • Can leave voice message: Sets the permission of the extension to leave voice messages to other extensions.

  24. PORT PARAMETERS • Charging Pulse Account Activated : Sets pulse account for extensions. Activates GPBX account use even in non – GPBX mode of system. • When the pulse in the account becomes 0, call is disconnected.

  25. PORT PARAMETERS • CLID Type: Sets the format of Caller ID sent to extension as DTMF or FSK. (Valid only for EX200 (0/16C) ports.) • CLIP : Sets the permission of the extension to see the Caller ID. (Valid only for all extension types.)

PORT PARAMETERS • CLIR (CLID presentation restriction): The extension can use this feature to hide his number from the party he calls. • Common pool call authority : Sets the permission of the extension to call common pool numbers beyondhis normal authority level. Can be set different for Day and Night Modes.

  27. PORT PARAMETERS • Conference Authority: Sets the permission of the extension to put the call on hold and then press ‘5’ to start a conference call. • CRL port filter: Determines whether the calls of the extension will appear in the records or not.

  28. PORT PARAMETERS • Dialing Type: Sets the permission of the extension to dial DTMF & DP or only DP digits. • Do Not Disturb active: Using this feature, you can set your telephone to ring only once in incomign calls.

  29. PORT PARAMETERS • DTMF Detection Time: Adjusts the duration DTMF digits dialled by the extension.

  30. PORT PARAMETERS • Echo Canceler Usage: Sets echo canceller facility on the extension inorder to increase general performance of voice transmission and DTMF receipt. • Is not available for DS200S / DS200M systems. • Must be enabled for DECT extensions.

PORT PARAMETERS • Executive Secretary Group: Extensions in the same executive secretary group (different than 0) can call each other directly even when they have Follow Me activated. • Works only for Follow Me Secretary Mode (89 + extension number). • Can be set different for Day and Night modes.

  32. PORT PARAMETERS • Executive Secretary Mode: Using this feature, you can temporarily deactivate the forwarding that has been made to you. • When ‘Yes’ is used, forwarding takes place. • When ‘No’ is used, forwarding is temporarily canceled. You later set is as ‘Yes’ to reactivate it.

  33. PORT PARAMETERS • External transfer lock: Sets the permission of other extensions to transfer an external call to this extension.

  34. PORT PARAMETERS • Fax (VoIP): If a fax machine is connected to an extension and if this extension is receivingfax through VoIP lines as well, this parameter must be used ‘Yes’ .

  35. PORT PARAMETERS • Flash with hook switch: Sets the permission of the extension to use his hook switch to put calls on hold.

  36. PORT PARAMETERS • Follow Me / Follow Me Busy / Follow Me No Answer: Using these features, you can forward your calls to another extension unconditionally, or when you are busy, or you do not answer the call in three rings. • Can be set different for Day and Night modes.

  37. PORT PARAMETERS • Forced Greeting Message: Can be used to play a message to the extension when he goes off-hook.

  38. PORT PARAMETERS • Forward External / Internal and Busy / Answered Calls To PBX: These four parameters are used to forward the extension’s calls to the next extension in his PBX group. The settings apply to : • internal calls when busy • internal calls when no answer • external calls when busy • external call when no answer

  39. PORT PARAMETERS • Group Number: Sets / shows the group number of extension. This group number used to decide the accessibility by other extensions: extensions in the same groupcan call each other directly, but cannotcall other groups’ extensions. • Bidirectional blocked call extensions menu of IDEA forms the extension groups by selecting multiple extensions at a time.

  40. PORT PARAMETERS • Hotel Room: Sets the extension as hotel room extension. • Only hotel room extensions can use some features like Check-In, Check-Out. • Hotel room extensions cannot use some features like Follow Me, Call Back.

  41. PORT PARAMETERS • Hotel Room Call Authority: Sets the permission of the extension to call hotel room extensions. • In Error State: This is a read-only parameter. If the extension has left his phone off-hook, ‘Yes’ is seen.

  42. PORT PARAMETERS • Inaccessible via DISA: Determines whether the extension can be reached through ACD / DISA linesor not. • Can be set different for Day and Night modes.

  43. PORT PARAMETERS • Incoming calls are blocked: Sets the permission of the extension to be reached by internal / external callers. • When marked used as ‘Yes’, only the extensions that ‘can call everyone’ reach this extension.

  44. PORT PARAMETERS • Incoming calls can be picked-up: Determines whether other extensions can pickup the calls of this extension or not. • Valid both for call pick up with ’82’ and group call pick up with ‘5’.

  45. PORT PARAMETERS • Incoming external call timeout: Defines a time limit for incoming external calls to the extension.

PORT PARAMETERS • Internal calls can be restricted with Phone Lock Table: Can be used to activate Phone Lock Table for extensions as well. • When used as ‘No’, Phone Lock Table controls access to Leading Digits in LCR and feature activation codes. • When used as ‘Yes’, access to port codes is also checked.

  47. PORT PARAMETERS • Intrusion authority level: Sets the intrusion authority level for extension. • Extensions can intrude other extensions with lower intrusion level. • Extensions with intrusion level 7 can intrude everyone.

  48. PORT PARAMETERS • KTS Device: This is a read-only parameter. Shows if the extension is using a telephone (LT200, FT20) or DSS module connected to Karel serial data line.

  49. PORT PARAMETERS • Language Selection: Used to determine the language of messages on Iris / ST20. • If T, then messages are in Turkish. • If E, then messages are in English. • These messages are not produced with telephone software. They are the messages which are directly taken from CPU side (e.g. busy extension message).

  50. PORT PARAMETERS • Line Access Group: Used to define the group of lines that the extension can use. e.g. If programmed as 11, the extension can use only the lines that are in access group 11. • See Line Parameters.PPT for line access groups.
