  3. C. Aug 25: Allied Army liberates Paris. E. Soviet army slowly pushing west, liberating concentration camps Map Time! D. Allied (Br. & U.S.) army pushes Germany east D-Day Battle of the Bulge F. Dec 1944: last ditch attempt, Hitler decides to counterattack in the West 1. Battle of the Bulge = last German offensive 2. Jan 1945:Allied troops win Battle of Bulge
