Affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, the college offers B.Sc. Durgapur Institute of Nursing Sciences (DINS), established in 2021 under the Durgapur Social and Educational Trust (DSET), is one of the emerging centers for excellence in nursing education in West Bengal. The college is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) as well as the West Bengal Nursing Council (WBNC). DINS offers B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) and General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM, 3 years) programs, designed to prepare competent and compassionate nursing professionals.With modern infrastructure, digital classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and a rich library, the institute ensures holistic learning.   3. Courses Offered B.Sc. Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) Duration: 4 years. Eligibility: 10+2 with Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) + English; minimum aggregate marks required. The course follows INC & WBUHS standards; includes both theory and clinical/practical training. The B.Sc Nursing program at DINS provides an advanced, in-depth education in nursing, integrating. GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) Duration: 3 years Eligibility: 10+2 with English (any stream), minimum required marks (often around 40 %) from a recognized board; ANM candidates or vocational counterparts are also considered under certain conditions. Our General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course at DINS is designed to deliver a thorough understanding.
